Every teen is one caring adult away from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are an adult who loves God, the Church, and has a heart for teens; God might be calling you to be a member of our Core Team. Core Team members offer themselves as a vitally important mentor in a teens life helping them on their journey of faith as they seek to deepen their relationship with Christ and His Church.
High School Peer Ministry
“Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 11:1
Peer Ministers are teens striving to be missionary disciples of Jesus Christ. As such they understand the importance sharing the Gospel and leading others closer to Christ. Peer Ministry is the heart of our middle school ministry experience. Being further along in their faith than the middle school youth, Peer Ministers serve as Christian examples of how to live a virtuous life. They have a love for the youth that is shown through their life with them in small groups, social activities, and retreats.
Peer Ministers help facilitate small group discussion and activities alongside our Core Team Members at Echo (6th Grade Ministry) and Edge (7th Grade Ministry & Confirmation Preparation: Year One) and Purpose (8th Grade Ministry & Confirmation Preparation: Year Two). Peer Ministers are given opportunities to lead prayer, preform skits, and give testimony/catechetical talks to the large group.
Freshman can apply to be Peer Ministers for Echo (6th Grade Ministry) on Monday’s from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the St. John Paul II Youth Room.
Sophomore through Senior’s can apply to be Peer Ministers for Edge (7th Grade Ministry & Confirmation Preparation: Year One) from 6:00 to 7:00 PM in the Parish Hall or Purpose (8th Grade Ministry & Confirmation Preparation: Year Two) from 7:15 to 8:45 PM in the Parish Hall.
