St. Mark is excited to bring the treasury of the Church’s sacred music to young singers through the St. Mark Children’s Chorale! The Chorale will provide children in grades 3–8 a comprehensive musical education based on the Catholic sacred music tradition, rooted in the love of God and neighbor. It is open to parishioners and non-parishioners alike—no audition is required.
Through weekly rehearsals and several performances (at Mass and other occasions), children will learn:
- to grow together in friendship and the importance of teamwork and accountability through being in an ensemble
- collective creativity and collaboration
- sight-reading in both Gregorian and modern notation
- healthy vocal production, beautiful tone, and choral blend
- a repertoire of sacred music from ancient to modern, all rooted in the Church’s tradition
- a deeper love for Christ and the sacred liturgy
- how music can deepen our prayer life
- and so much more!
Tuition is $275 per semester, with a limited number of partial scholarships available. Click the button below register. Questions? Contact Diana Corliss, Director of Sacred Music, at dianac@stmarkhr.org.
