High School Upperclassmen Retreat

Theme: The Chronicles of Narnia

“Safe?… ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.'” –C.S. Lewis, The Chronicles of Narnia

According to C.S. Lewis, author of The Chronicles of Narnia, the whole Narnia story is about Christ. The central figure of the entire series, Aslan is representative of the person of Christ. Lewis offered Aslan as the answer to the question: What would Christ, the Son of God, be like if he had been born in the land of Narnia instead of being born in Bethlehem? That very notion is made manifest throughout the entire series: as one encounters Aslan, they encounter the person of Christ in a new and powerful way.
