The St. Thérèse Altar Society is a new ministry for girls in grades 3-12 to serve at St. Mark and more deeply discover their feminine virtue and vocation.
After initial training, girls in grades 3-8 will be allowed to assist as shadows and Junior Sacristans. Girls in grades 9-12 who have been confirmed may become trained as Sacristans. Girls will learn about liturgical arrangements and preparations for the Holy Mass, as well as their importance in facilitating a beautiful, reverent Liturgy for the Lord. Through this service, girls are invited to participate more actively in parish life and cultivate a deep reverence for the Mass.
The St. Thérèse Altar Society will also include opportunities for monthly prayer and quarterly events that help girls explore the beautiful vocations of religious life and marriage. Activities will include prayer, formation in authentic feminine dignity, service projects, social events with religious sisters, and more.
To join the ministry or find out more, fill out the interest form below. You will be added to the contact list, and invited to an information night this summer as well as initial training and kickoff events.
