12 weekly meetings starting Thursday, Feb. 9 from 7:00–8:30 pm
Have you experienced the trauma of a divorce or separation? This painful experience can leave a person feeling alone and misunderstood. But you don’t need to deal with this on your own.
St. Mark will host a Divorced and Separated Support Group for parishioners going through this difficult experience. The lead group facilitator is Deacon Basil Balke, a Ruthenian Byzantine Catholic Deacon and licensed professional counselor at Mount Tabor Counseling. He is passionate about integrating the Catholic spiritual life and mental health. He will be joined by Marianne, a co-facilitator in training.
To ensure the efficacy of the group, space is limited to 12 participants, and spots will go quickly. This group is intended and designed around those who have been divorced or separated for six months of longer. Before six months, grief is often too acute for groups of this nature to be beneficial to the participant. Those needing alternative resources may contact the parish directly for more information.
There is a program expense fee of $99. Financial assistance is available as needed. Use the QR code below to learn more and to register.
